Getting Started
You don’t need to have it figured out before you reach out. Most people who contact me are somewhere between “I’ve been thinking about this for a while” and “I’m not even sure what to say.” Both are fine starting points.
The Consultation
The first step is a brief, 15-minute consultation — not a therapy session and not an intake. We’ll discuss what led you to reach out, what you’re hoping for, and how I work. There’s no obligation to continue and no pressure. If it’s not the right match, I’ll do my best to point you toward someone who is.
Before You Schedule
Where do you offer therapy? Telehealth in Florida, California, and any PSYPACT-participating state. In-person sessions are available by appointment at my home office in Milton, FL.
Do you take insurance? I offer both in-network and private-pay options — details are on the Pricing page. I also accept HSA and FSA cards and can provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement.
Am I a fit if I’m in crisis right now? No — and this matters. I’m not equipped to provide emergency or crisis care. If you’re in crisis, please call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or go to your nearest emergency room. Once you’re safely connected to that support, I’m happy to talk about ongoing care.
Who do you work with? Individual therapy only — no couples or family sessions. Adults 18 and older, with the strongest fit for people in their 30s, 40s, and beyond.
Is faith part of the work? Only if you want it to be. Faith-integrated therapy is available for clients who want it, but it’s never required.
